She said she shouldn't have left a long time ago

This four day break in posts may have been the blog's longest hiatus since it's conception. Or not, I don't know. Either way, it's been a while.

Hamilton was every bit the hole that people say it is. What a grey city. McMaster campus itself was nice though. The interview went well. A bit intimidating, but a good experience all the same.

Can't say I did much in Hamilton aside from the interview. I watched a lot of TV and got my hair cut. The hair cut was spurr of the moment after my physio interview, although considering my split ends has split ends, it was entirely necessary. I'm missing about 5 inches of hair now. I miss it already.

On my way home from Hamilton I was bumped to first class by Air Canada - still unsure why. It was AWESOME. I got a bunch of white wine, a steak dinner, dessert, free movies (watched Sherlock Holmes for the second time), a complimentary Globe and Mail, and a hot towel (which I actually said no thanks to because I didn't really know what to do with it).

Finally made it to Hunter's music trivia on Sunday. Recounted my harrowing and anxiety ridden trip to Katherine and Lloyd. I think I told the story so well that I stressed Kat out. We came dead last - no surprise - but I like to think we had the best name (although "get down on your knees and smile like a donut" probably actually won). Our name was: If you can't dance, if you can't dance... you and Kate Gosselin have a lot in common.

Monday watched my beloved Habs capture victory over the Caps with David and his family. On to game 7 baby! Halak is my boy. Sadly I'll be watching game 7 alone in Moncton. I just want to be home. No more traveling!

Which brings me to today, my trip to Moncton. Seriously, I haven't spent more than one full day on PEI since moving home. But anyway, I am so proud of myself! For someone who has never driven past Summerside (sad, I know), I made it all the way to Moncton and my hotel perfectly. I realized Moncton is basically idiot-proof, but still. This idiot is pretty proud.

Spent the day in meetings for orientation. In case I didn't already mention, I'm the supervisor at the SCCY this summer. My staff starts on Monday. It's going to be a fun summer. Anyway, made for an extremely long day. And to top it all off, I have an ear infection. Went to the mall tonight, bought ear infection supplies (ear drops and Advil), and also got a new dress.

Success.

  1. I know you just want to be home but that sounds like such an adventure!

I can't believe you were bumped to first class, you jerk. I fly around the country all the time and nothing.

p.s. was missing the blog, thanks for updating :)
